Hallo an ALLE, die sich für Yatours entscheiden! Wir waren über Weihnachten und Sylvester 2013/14, insgesamt 13 Tage in Hikkaduwa und sind bereits das 2. Mal mit Yatours verreist, der erste Mal liegt zwei Jahre zurück. Damals haben wir eine große Rundreise gemacht und waren hauptsächlich im Landesinneren unterwegs, dieses Mal wollten wir uns mehr mit den wundervollen Stränden und der Meerseite beschäftigen. Wir haben die gesamte Zeit in einem Hotel (RANMAL) direkt am wunderschönen Strand gewohnt. Alles andere, wie der Transfer vom Flughafen, als auch alle möglichen Tagesausflüge haben wir mit Yatours gebucht. Das ging völlig problemlos, so wie wir es bereits von unserer 1. Reise gewohnt waren. Dieses Mal hat sich “Fernando” ganz wunderbar um uns gekümmert. Alle Wünsche wurden direkt angenommen, umgesetzt oder organisiert. Wir wollten zum Beispiel Wale gucken…. Fernando hat sich gekümmert und im Vorfeld Plätze auf dem Boot reserviert, uns darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass wir unseren Reisepass brauchen und dass er uns bereits um 5 Uhr in der Früh abholt. Wir sind mit dem Tuctuc ca. 1,5 Stunden bis zum Hafen gefahren. Hier war Hektik ohne Ende, trotzdem für “unseren” Fernando kein Problem, der hatte alles fest im Griff und war die Ruhe selbst. Auf dem kleinen Boot (ca. 20 Passagiere) wurden wir ebenfalls sehr herzlich Willkommen geheißen, die Verpflegung war unerwarteter Weise ausgezeichnet! Gleich zu Beginn gab es Kaffee und Gingerkekse, nachdem wir abgelegt haben eine frischen Obstteller für jeden, später ein Omlett mit Brot, zwischendurch Wasser und Säfte und zum Abschluss auch noch Kuchen….wer hätte das gedacht.
Die Crew war sehr freundlich und in jeder Hinsicht hilfsbereit und auskunftsfreudig. Diese Männer machen diesen Job von Herzen, drei von Ihnen waren als Rettungsschwimmer ausgebildet (gut für das Gefühl :-)). Wale haben wir auch gesehen, leider nicht die große Flosse weil die Wale sich zu der Zeit als wir dort waren in, für deren Begriffe, niedrigem Gewässer aufhielten. Leider haben uns auch keine Delphine begleitet, das war sehr schade. Trotz allem ein sehr gelungener Ausflug und unbedingt empfehlenswert!!!!! Unbedingt empfehlenswert sei hier noch einmal die Buchung bei Yatours!!!!!! Anja und Frank –

Abbiamo fatto un tour di 10 giorni con Ya Tours e ci siamo trovati molto bene. ecco alcuni dettagli: – Prezzo molto competitivo: abbiamo chiesto diverse proposte e la loro si è rivelata assolutamente competitiva rispetto alle altre. -Correttezza: abbiamo pagato l’intera cifra al nostro arrivo in euro (nessun anticipo prima), abbiamo ottenuto la ricevuta e non vi sono state sorprese. – Cordialità: il nostro accompagnatore, Roland, si è rivelato da subito molto simpatico, per cui possiamo dire di aver fatto la vacanza con lui, non che ci abbia solo accompagnato. L’abbiamo travolto di domande e parlando con lui ci sembra di aver meglio compreso alcuni aspetti dello Sri Lanka ( noi parliamo bene inglese, vi consigliamo di scegliere driver e comunque guide parlanti inglesi, l’italiano è in genere molto limitato). – Guest house: Ya tours ci ha indicato quali scegliere (per loro conoscenza e per permettere al driver di alloggiare senza spese) e ci siamo trovati bene, naturalmente abbiamo sempre controllato in internet caratteristiche e commenti per vedere se avevano quello che desideravamo (al mare la piscina ad esempio) e se non erano in linea abbiamo chiesto che ce ne indicassero altre. Insomma consigliamo vivamente il tour operator…e buona vacanza!January 2014

Hello. My husband, 13 year old son and myself engaged Ya Tours to organise a trip for us to Sri Lanka in December, 2013. We had a wonderful time. We engaged a driver, Saneth, to drive us around for 2 weeks. The company, Ya Tours, is very professional. The driver was very quiet, but very knowledgeable about Sri Lanka’s flora and fauna and an excellent driver and always reliable. The manager, Udaya met us on the morning after we arrived to settle the payment. I paid an initial deposit – bank transfer. All was fine. You can certainly trust the company and I would recommend their services following our experiences. You must go to Yala – it was fantastic seeing the range of animals in the National Park! In der 9tägigen Rundreise haben wir dank Callis (unser Fahrer) Hilfe einen Einblick in die Kultur, die Religionen, die Sitten und die Wirtschaft Sri Lankas erhalten. Mehrmals am Tag waren wir froh über unsere Entscheidung, uns einen Fahrer geleistet zu haben. Calli fuhr souverän und sicher durch den Trubel und informierte uns über Highlights an der Strecke. Wenn wir es wünschten, ließen wir ein zunächst geplantes Sightseeingerlebnis weg oder fügten auch eines auf Empfehlung von Calli hinzu. Er kennt sich in seinem Heimatland gut aus und spricht auch gutes, verständliches Englisch. Er ist sehr humorvoll, wir hatten viel Spaß. Er war immer zuverlässig vor Ort und informierte uns im Vorfeld über Besonderheiten der einzelnen Tagesordnungspunkte. Die empfohlenen Hotels hatten wir schon im Vorfeld bei der ausführlichen, problemlosen Reiseplanung (per Mail) gecheckt; 2 von Yatours vorgeschlagene Hotels, eins in Galle, eins in Negombo hatten wir aufgrund der schlechten Internet-Bewertungen aussortiert und durch von uns ausgesuchte ersetzt – war auch kein Problem. Am besten von den Yatours-Hotels gefielen uns Melrose Villa in Sigiriya und Hibiscus in Tissa. Diese Art des Reisens hat uns als völlig unerfahrene Asientouristen einen guten Einstieg gegeben, Land und Leute “sanft” kennenzulernen. Yatours ist zu empfehlen.

We booked a 7 night 8 day tour with Ya Tours after reading good reviews on the Sri Lanka Tripadvisor forums. We didn’t really know where we wanted to go, so emailed Udaya with a rough time scale and asked what he recommended. The price that came back seemed too good to be true and was lowest compared to other tour companies, but we decided to go with them anyway.We are very glad we did – we visited many places on our tour and Udaya was very accommodating when planning our itinerary – we wanted to change a few bits and pieces and changed some of the accommodation he’d selected for us too due to poor trip advisor reviews, which he was more than happy to do. The negative thing I would say is sometimes Udaya is slow in his responses, but it seems to be only him doing the administration so I will let him off :)On arrival Roland (our driver) greeted us at the airport with a big smile and drove us to our first location in Negombo. He explained everything and his van was nice with AC. Roland was amazing- so much fun to be around. He was constantly spotting wildlife and pointing out all the different things we were seeing, explaining local customs etc. My friend was ill on one of the days and he made sure she was OK and phoned her to check up on her when she had to stay in the hotel on one of the days. He also stopped at road side vendors and bought local snacks for us to try, refusing to accept any money for them! We invited him for dinner with us on one night because we enjoyed his company so much.When he drove us to our last place in Hikkaduwwa we were sad to say goodbye! I would highly recommend Ya Tours and Roland!

Im März 2013 haben wir eine von uns zusammengestellte Rundreise über Yatours gebucht. Wir (Ehepaar) sind 53 und 50 Jahre mit unseren 2 Jungs 20 und 14 Jahre. Die Kommunikation mit Udaya war schnell und problemlos. Am Flughafen wurden wir von Ajith Fernando freundlich empfangen. Er war uns eine Woche lang ein guter Fahrer und guter Reiseführer. Durch seine lockere und nette Art und Weise war die Woche ein Vergnügen. Die von Udaya ausgesuchten Unterkünfte waren unterschiedlich. In Sigiriya, Tissa, Nuwarah Eliya hatten wir wirklich schöne Unterkünfte. In Kandy und Mirissa hatten die Hotels eine supertolle Lage, es gab aber dort Mängel. In Panorama Hotel, Kand,y war das Buffet eine Zumutung, in 7th sky Idyll, Mirissa, waren die Zimmer grauselig. Ein Umzug wurde uns sofort von Udaya angeboten, aber wegen der Umstände bzw. Zeitaufwand hatten wir dann darauf verzichtet. Daraufhin sind wir zum Ausgleich von Udaya zum Essen eingeladen worden. Vielen Dank nochmal dafür. Trotz der Kritik, die eigentlich nur die Hotels betrifft, empfehlen wir Yatours, Herrn Udaya und erst recht Ajith Fernado uneingeschränkt weiter. Kommen wir noch mal nach Sri Lanka werden wir unsere Tour gerne noch mal mit Yatours machen.

Following online recommendations we booked a 4 night trip with Yatours, followed by a few days organised on our own (relaxing at the seaside basically). Travelling with a small child and not willing to drive too much myself (it’s a holiday after all), we let Udaya suggest an itinerary and arrange driver and accomodation in the center of the island.All was sorted out via a couple of Emails and it turned out to be an experience exactly as we expected. We got Sudath as our ‘driver’ but he’s much more than that. He’s a very experienced guide, a pleasant person and he manages to get a quick understanding of the kind of trip his passsengers look for. Have a chat, pick one of his suggestions and it will turn out well. Our kid got along well with him from day one, which does not happen to many people.We often recall good memories to Sri anka and our trip. We will be back, not sure when. But what is sure is that we will go with this team again!

We have just got back from a weeks holiday round Sri Lanka. We chose YAtours due to good reviews on TripAdvisor. They have a website and I recommend the driver we had Callistus (Calli)Calli is a family man with three daughters and he was available to take us wherever we wanted to go. The first day he met us at the airport and drove for over 4hrs to get us to Sigiriya . Calli only stopped when we requested a meal break and did not take us to any tourist trap shops. He went out of his way to make our trip very enjoyable. In Kandy he managed to deliver us to the door to watch the Culture Show and got us front row seats and then was waiting out the front to get us home again. I don’t know how he managed to find a park as there were cars everywhere. His driving is excellent, I think he has been a driver for 27 years and his English is very clear. Thanks to YA Tours and Calli for a great trip.
